My dad just came in and basically told me I’m being disrespectful to Mom and he won’t tolerate that and that I need to make eye contact with her and give her more than shrugs and one word answers when she asks all the questions like “How was school?” and “Did everything go okay today?”
And now I feel angry AND crappy.
She just wants some love… Don’t you?
Right now, my answer would be no because I’m a cranky immature pubescent teenager who’s angry at the world and crap.
But of course, I do.
I just don’t want to have to answer the same questions day after day.
Maybe you could try starting the conversation yourself? I don’t know the situation, just trying to help…
